not all that glitters is gold
As in real life aspects, what’s beneath the surface it’s the real deal. But we usually stop at the borders of appearances and quickly decide – yes, we like it, or no, we don’t like it.
Once you scratch that surface, all under comes alive and at times, it might scare you. No need to feel that in relation to a piece of jewelry, but here too the looks can be deceiving.
To illustrate that, I created a small series of pieces, all in electroformed copper [make no mistake], silver or gold plated.
The appearances are shiny and bright and appealing to the viewer, but it is interesting to know how much she/he will stick to the first impression, once the true nature of things is revealed.
