Red sprite draws its inspiration from two overlapping sources sharing a name. The first is the red sprite — a rare, fleeting electrical phenomenon that blooms in deep crimson above storm clouds, invisible to most eyes, lasting only milliseconds. The second is the bog plant: small, dark-stemmed, bearing vivid red fruit that hangs suspended on the snow's white canvas like something between a berry and a wound.
Both sprites exist at a threshold — between sky and storm, between plant and place. The pieces of this collection live there too.
