Red Sprite draws its inspiration from two things that share the same name. One is the red sprite - a rare electrical phenomenon that flashes high above thunderstorms, glowing deep crimson for only a fraction of a second. Most people never see one. The other is the winterberry holly, with its dark stems and bright red berries that stand out against the snow, looking almost suspended between something living and something wounded.
Both sprites exist at a threshold: between sky and storm, between plant and place. The pieces in this collection belong to that exact same space.
